Get Rid Of The Yahoo Toolbar From Your Browser Easily

You must have installed the Yahoo toolbar in your browser thinking that it might be useful. However, you normally do not use the toolbar that often and you now prefer to get rid of it to reduce the clutter in your browser menu. Removing the Yahoo toolbar from the system is indeed easy, and you can do this either from the browser or from the system.

How to remove Yahoo toolbar from your browser

The Yahoo toolbar would be installed on your browser as an add-on. You could go to the add-ons section in your browser and disable or un-install the Yahoo toolbar. If you need the toolbar later, you can just enable it, and it would show up back on your browser menu.

Uninstalling the toolbar from the browser would remove the add-on. You would have to reinstall the browser add-on, if you have to use the toolbar later. For this, you would have to visit the official Yahoo web page.

How to remove Yahoo toolbar from your system

In some cases, the Yahoo toolbar would be installed as a standalone application that would add the browser toolbar to any browser application running on your system. Here, instead of getting rid of the browser toolbar individually from each of the browsers, you could just get rid of this standalone application from your system.

Go to the Control Panel, and open the Add or Remove programs or Programs and Features option, you see there – depending on the Windows operating system version you are using. The Yahoo toolbar application would be there among the list of installed applications in your system.

Select this application and click an option that says Remove or Un-install. Here, you might be asked to confirm the un-installation process. Click Yes to proceed. The Yahoo toolbar would now be removed from the system. Now, restart the system and check the browser menu bar.

The Yahoo add-ons in the browser application would normally be removed along with the Yahoo toolbar application. However, if you have updated the add-on recently, then the updated Yahoo add-on might still be there in the browser menu. You would have to remove this add-on by the following the first method mentioned in this article.
