Fix Outlook Express Email Sending Problems

Microsoft’s Outlook Express is one of the well-accepted email platforms used by millions of computer users all over the world. Along with the simplicity in handling email messages, Outlook Express is well known for its improved toolbar functions.
The application is compatible with all Windows operating systems. In order to enjoy the benefits of the Outlook Express service, you need to perform regular check of your Outlook application. If you have some sort of Outlook Express problems, perform the following steps to fix them.
Compact the entire Outlook Express File Folders
  • Launch the Outlook Express application.
  • Tag along the File menu and select the Work Offline option to set Outlook Express to work offline.
  • Now you need to close the active folders. For this, double-click the Outlook Express option, and then just close the folder column by clicking the X button.
  • Now, from the file menu, select the Folder option and then hit the option labeled Compact all folders. This will take some time to complete, so never try to launch any program while the compacting process is going on.
  • When finished, restart the Outlook Express program and send a test mail to check whether this has resolved your problem.
Remove Temporary Internet data
Whenever you send or receive email messages through Outlook Express, a temporary internet file gets saved in your system hard drive. Sometimes the Outlook Express error you are facing could be due to these files, so the best solution would be to remove them.
  • Launch both Outlook Express and Internet Explorer on your system.
  • Now from the Internet Explorer Tools menu, select the Internet Options tab.
  • Now select the Temporary Internet Files option, and delete all the temporary internet files by clicking the Remove All Offline Files option.
  • When finished, trigger the OK button.
Reset Outlook Express as the Default Email Client
  • Click Start to launch the Start menu.
  • From the Start menu, select the Run option by clicking on it.
  • Now type msimn/reg in the dialogue box, and then hit OK.
  • Now, from the Internet Explorer Options Window, select the Programs option.
  • Now click Set Programs option, and then pick out the Outlook Express option from the available list, to set it as the default e-mail application.
