A free email client that was released by the tech giant Microsoft is called as Windows Live Mail. In the Windows Vista operating system, it is called as Windows Mail, whereas in Windows XP, this version is called as Outlook Express. Setting up IMAP account in Windows Live Mail is easy. - The Add an E-mail Account wizard will start automatically in your system if it is first time that you are using Windows Live Mail. Click the link called Add email account if you already have an email account in Windows Live Mail.

- Password- Type the password for the email address entered
- Display name- Type your first and last name. In fact, it is this name that will be seen by the recipient when you send any messages.

- My incoming server- here, choose the option IMAP
- Incoming mail server- Type your secure server name
- Login ID- type your complete email address
- Outgoing server- type the name of the secure server, i.e. secure.emailsrvr.com
- Port- 465 as the secure outgoing port
- Check mark the box that is labeled My outgoing server requires authentication.
6. Finally, click the button called Finish.
