Recently, some of the patches from Microsoft have not been treating all the computers properly. Some of the users have complained that the latest updates from Microsoft have caused BSOD or Blue Screen Of Death. Hence, it has steered up concern and panic among the users, said one of the OmniTech support reviews.

The alleged update MS 14-045 was the one that caused this issue in most of the computers. This update was one among the nine patches released as a part of Patch Tuesday. However, these patches were supposed to fix three different issues. This includes a fix for font vulnerability, a vulnerable feature in the Windows kernel and other security flaws. Microsoft support page was flooded with complains and concerns within hours after the release of the Tuesday patch. Windows users reported that the update MS 14-045 generated Stop 0×50 error on most of the systems. Windows 7 64-bit was one among the affected systems.

One of the users took it to the support page and explained how the patch worked. He said that the installation was smooth, as he did not find any issues during the process. After Reboot, everything seemed to be working fine. When the system was shut down and turned on later, he found that the system came up with BSOD or the Blue Screen Of Death issue along with Stop 0×50 in Win32k.sys.

This was not the case with just one user. There were around 380 threads that followed the moment the first post appeared on the support page. This had almost 50000 viewers, which was one of the longest posts in Microsoft support forum, as per the reports from Computer World. Microsoft was quick to respond and find a fix for this issue. An investigation team was launched immediately to remove the link to download the patch and was also updated with a new patch for the users. The same information was put up in the Microsoft support page as well.
